In this interview, Ellisecia asks Dr. Akeda Springer about the roles which she has played at Learning for Living and how she would you measure the impact that the team has had on students over the years.
Dr. Springer indicated that she was very happy to be a part of our team from inception – since 2014, off and on as a Biology and Chemistry tutor before leaving to pursue medical studies and while on vacation from university.
Currently, she continues to work one-on-one with our study groups as part of the Personalized Education Programme and also helped to prepare Grade 6 students for the CPEA .
I think the programme continues to be valuable and caters to the changing needs of students and I am happy to see the work we started growing and evolving into something even greater than we had initially conceptualized.
― Dr. Akeda Springer, Tutor
The interview continues as Julien James, also a Sales and Marketing Intern, asks Denisa Letteen, another tutor, about her experience tutoring in our after school programme.
Miss Letteen revealed her background in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Digital Media and that she started out as an intern from the local ONSITE programme. She stated that she was very happy to apply what she learned at college and was even more happy to learn about a new applications and techniques in computing.
Apart from application of my digital skills, I enjoy working along with students on afternoons. I usually assist with homework, SBAs and exam preparations.
― Denisa Letteen, Tutor
